Our Story

Precast HQ was born off the back of Phil and Guy working as a Main Contractor. They saw an opportunity in the market for a true customer service based precaster with shorter lead times and a true quality focus.

We aren’t the biggest, but we want to be the best. We have worked hard to build our team and recruit some of the most experienced people in the precast industry.

Guy leads the technical and planning side of the business. With a solid foundation in Civil Engineering, Guy loves providing solutions to ensure a quality product. Guy focuses on ensuring effective communication with his clients when scheduling production and deliveries to ensure that there are no surprises.

Phil Hodder

Phil enjoys leading and inspiring our managers to ensure the overall success of the business. Phil is passionate about offsite manufacturing, in particular, precast concrete due to its time and accuracy benefits for his clients. He sees huge opportunities for the industry in offsite manufacturing and aims to be at the forefront of any developments in this space, such as BIM and other technology. Phil is committed to creating solid relationships to ensure great outcomes for his clients.

Paul Aviata

Paul makes production happen here at Precast HQ. Paul started as a precaster himself some 25 years ago and progressed through the ranks with two well known Auckland precasters. He prides himself on setting the bar in terms of Quality here at Precast HQ.

Mak Mavae

Mak brings over 30 years of drafting experience to the Precast HQ team. Mak prides himself on his ability to collaborate with our client’s to understand tricky architectural or structural details, with the ultimate goal of providing solutions which benefit our client. Mak believes in going the extra mile for his clients and is proficient in all architectural drafting software programmes. Prior to becoming a draftsman, Mak worked as a Quality Assurance Technician, so understands the importance of providing as clear drawings as possible for our production staff. You will often find Mak out on the shop floor, asking for feedback on his drawings.

Jameel Sarbudeen

Jameel has degree qualifications in both Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying. Jameel started with Precast HQ in a Quality Assurance role using his Engineering background and through his aptitude and hard work, has progressed through the ranks to utilise more of his Quantity Surveying skills. Jameel is professional in his approach and has an excellent eye for detail, he has a thorough understanding of Precast Concrete and its various applications so is a great asset when it comes to estimating.
